Staghorn and Sea Fan

Dad was not a great swimmer when he started his scuba lessons. He is one of the only people I know that sunk like a rock (I understand it is a trait that is shared by his brothers and sister, too.) During one of his tests, he got tired and used his bc vest to rest and get across the pool. He received kudos for that, a good survivor reaction. He was certified, went on to become a master diver and instructor. And his swimming did improve over the years, but he always fought to not sink. (He didn’t have to use weights for diving….)
